At a time when American racing still worshipped brute force, the arrival of the Porsche 550A Spyder marked a turning point. Here was a machine that rewrote the rules, lighter, sharper, and ruthlessly precise. Campaigned by Jack McAfee, this very example didn’t just compete, it proved that intelligence could outmatch power, establishing Porsche’s foothold in the United States and igniting a legacy that would come to define performance on both road and track.
Off Script: The Argento Nürburgring Enzo
One of 399 produced, this Ferrari Enzo is a rare and thoughtfully specified example, finished in Argento Nürburgring, one of just nine, and one of only five with a Rosso leather interior. Retained by its first owner for 15 years and Ferrari Classiche certified, it has been meticulously maintained throughout its life. To be offered in Monaco, 25 April.

TG183B-05 marks the origin of a legend—the very car driven by Ayrton Senna in his Formula 1 debut at the 1984 Brazilian Grand Prix. Raced exclusively in period by the three-time World Champion, it contested four rounds of the 1984 season, including a sixth-place finish at the South African Grand Prix and Belgian Grand Prix—earning Senna his first World Championship points. Beautifully preserved with authentic components, including its period-correct Hart 415T engine, RM Sotheby’s will offer TG183B-05 at its biennial Monaco auction taking place on 25 April.
