The practice of placing the largest engine possible under the hood of an automaker’s smallest offering is a simple, time-honored recipe that has resulted in some of the most beloved performance machines in the automotive world. By no means a newcomer to the genre, Aston Martin first launched its V-12-powered bruiser in a Saville Row suit, the V12 Vantage, in 2009. In 2023, the second generation expanded on the theme with twin turbochargers and 690 horsepower and, unfortunately for enthusiasts, would mark the end of V12 Vantage production with its limited run of 333 units worldwide, said to have sold out within days of being announced.
While the recognizable shape of the standard Vantage is apparent, much of the bodywork has been adapted to cope with the immense power under the hood. Up front, a larger grill feeds more air through the radiators, which extract through a trio of vents along the flanks and hood. A widened rear track allows for wider tires while a rear wing and diffuser work to keep the back end planted. Massive carbon-ceramic brakes at all four corners perform the all-important work of reining in the speed and an eight-speed automatic gearbox delivers the torrent of power to the rear wheels. Just 333 examples of the coupe were confirmed for production by Aston Martin for all markets, adding to the vehicle’s immense desirability.
Exceptionally well personalized from the factory, this V12 Vantage Coupe features $51,100 worth of optional equipment, $8,900 of which the spectacular Satin Xenon Gray exterior paint alone accounts for. Deletion of the rear wing along with the addition of smoked tail lamps and plenty of black and carbon fiber accents throughout enhance the stealthy treatment. Yellow brake calipers offset the understated scheme and coordinate perfectly with the bright yellow contrast stitching on the Onyx Black interior. Finished in semi-aniline leather and Alcantara, the luxurious yet sporty cabin features copious amounts of carbon fiber, mirroring the exterior. Lightweight seats, also made of carbon fiber, are trimmed in grippy Alcantara and feature deep side bolsters to hold the driver and passenger securely in place. Meanwhile, Aston Martin’s Premium Audio system—operated via the optional touchpad control along with other functions —is on hand for those wishing to enjoy music in addition to the sonorous engine.
Driven sparingly by its single registered owner, according to the Carfax report on file, just 815 miles graced the odometer at cataloguing time, further reinforcing the stunning presentation. Certain to be a future classic, this exclusive, hot-rodded Aston Martin—the very last of its kind—offers its next fortunate owner an increasingly rare V-12 driving experience, all wrapped in the handsome coachwork that has made the company’s cars so desirable throughout its 100-year history.
