According to G. Zoccai of Sanremo, this silver cigarette case was given to Scuderia Ferrari driver Tazio Nuvolari after he finished in 1st place at the 1935 Circuito Di Biella race in his Alfa Romeo Tipo B. The inside of the case is gold-plated and on top sits an enamel R.A.C.I. (Royal Automobile Club of Italy) badge. The case is engraved with “2 Circuito Automobilistico Di Biella…Giugno 1935 XIII” and “Omaggio del Presidente” meaning Gift from the President. The item is accompanied by a handwritten letter from G. Zoccai and photographs of the race.
