To celebrate Bernd Schneider claiming the fourth out of his record-breaking five DTM championship titles in 2003, Mercedes-Benz commissioned the HWA AG team that had masterminded his success to produce an imposing road car counterpart to the carbon fibre silhouette racer. The result was the flared-arched CLK DTM AMG.
Just 100 Coupés were completed alongside 80 Cabriolet editions. Both models gained a thunderous 5.4-litre V-8 engine enhanced by a supercharger to deliver 590 PS. That was sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed automatic transmission operated by paddle shifters behind the race car-inspired steering wheel.
The example offered here was completed by the factory on 16 August 2006, specified with Bright Silver Metallic paint over a fabric and leather interior trimmed in Black/Anthracite. The Mercedes-Benz was configured with the equipment package for Avantgarde vehicles, aluminium trim for selected interior parts, and its silver exterior enhanced by a Black soft-top roof.
Today, the bold styling of this rare AMG Cabriolet belies its 20 years since construction. The car has been used sparingly, with an odometer reading of just 1,997 kilometres at the time of cataloguing. It is offered for sale by its original, supplying dealership and benefits from a January 2026 service performed by Autohaus Zanker, an authorised Mercedes-Benz workshop. Offered with its factory-issued first aid kit, tool kit, tyre inflator, and warning triangle, the CLK DTM AMG is further accompanied by its books and manuals.
